Fungi Girl was born of an independently published psychedelic adventure comic. Following the exploits of a girl who used mushrooms as a gateway to another world, the work was reminiscent of Winsor McCay’s “Little Nemo in Slumberland” series. Created as an exercise to challenge creativity by drawing the fantastical on the boundaries of imagination, Fungi Girl spawned two solo exhibitions.
